At the sacramental traffic lights,
I was baptised by her grace,
She passed before my stunted path,
it was instantly erased
In a bright red flash of ruby
that adorned her haloed crown
and upon a trail of emeralds
that for her had been laid down.
I sat in my confessional
still and heavy like a stone
she moved before me just like a prayer
that I heard when I was born
In a bright red flash of ruby
that adorned my haloed crown
and upon a trail of emeralds
that for I had been laid down
The caravan lurched northbound
just a chain of senseless cars
she was no longer to be found
where previously she was
In a bright red flash of ruby
that adorned her haloed crown
and upon a trail of emeralds
that for her had been laid down.

The Song of Wandering Aengus
I went out to a hazel wood
because a fire was in my head
I cut and I peeled a hazel wand
and hooked a berry to a thread
and when white moths were on the wing
and moth-like stars were flickering out
I dipped the berry in a stream
and caught a little silver trout
and when I laid it on the floor
I went to blow the fire a-flame
and something rustled on the floor
and someone called me by my name
it had become a glimmering girl
with apple blossom in her hair
who called me by my name and ran
and faded through the brightening air
and though I am old with wandering
through hollow land and hilly lands
I will find out where she has gone
and kiss her lips and take her hands
and walk among long dappled grass
and pluck til time and times are done
the silver apples of the moon
the golden apples of the sun

The Thinnest Veil
04:17
|

I'll meet you where hangs
the thinnest veil
and the river
splits in two
the landscape
is bleached all ghostly
pale monochrome in the light
of the moon This river
turns all mountains
to dustand it runs true and through
vanitas vanitatum
omnia vanitas
I grieve as much for me
as I do for you
I'll leave youat the first signs
of the sun and my heart's painful pangs but I know that someday
I'll be coming back here again behind where
the thinnest veil hangs
This river turns all mountains to dust
and it runs true and through
vanitas vanitatum omnia vanitas
I grieve as much for me as I do for you
Vanitas Vanitatum Omnia

Falling Bird
04:17
|
|||
I am a falling bird
Falling from the sky
Below my feet I see the earth
It's a matter of time
From up here
It's so beautiful
and it seems as though
It could be so simple.
You see those dancing popplers go
cheering me on
waving their arms two and fro
it's so kind of them.
From up here
they look so small
and it seems as though
it could be so simple.
I am a falling bird
forgetting how to fly
reaching out to gusts of clouds
and breezes passing by-
From up hereit's so beautiful
and it seems as though
it could be so simple.
